Utah: Arches National Park

You know what they say about the best-laid plans…

We had to cut our Moab trip a little short due to “an historic winter storm” rolling into Colorado. (Some snow at home is not a big deal, but driving through the mountains on the other hand…)

Since this was a working trip for me, the original plan was to spend Saturday in nearby Arches National Park. Instead we had to head home first thing on Friday, so on Wednesday Dan and I spent about 90 minutes between work and sunset exploring the park. I’ll take it!

There’s plenty we didn’t have a chance to see, including the park’s most iconic arch — but that just means that we have plenty to look forward to next time we visit Moab.

It’s our own fault for planning a trip in March, which is historically Colorado’s snowiest month, but we were absolutely stir crazy and this week in March was supposed to be a low-key week at work. (That didn’t prove to be true either!)

Regardless we got to see Canyonlands and Arches, and Dan and I both had a few bike adventures that I will cover in my final Utah post. Not bad for a workcation cut short!

Hello, gorgeous.
