Bike-up popsicles

I try to ride my bike 3-4 days per week, but if I don’t have time for a jaunt early in the morning I often need motivation to venture out into the heat. (I know, I know, it is just barely June! I’m not going to make it!)

On my last ride, inspiration struck: I remembered seeing that the restaurant Ginger & Baker had opened up their popsicle window. That’s right, G&B has a special, precious window dedicated to selling their house-made popsicles. Isn’t it sweet?

The current flavors are Orange Creamsicle, Hibiscus Tamarind, and the one I chose: Coconut Banana with dark chocolate on top. Mine was vegan, for which I was grateful, as I find it difficult to load up on dairy and climb back on a bicycle in 90-degree weather.

I also talked the clerk into letting me pre-pay for a popsicle for Dan, as I knew he’d be riding in the area shortly afterwards. He ordered the Creamsicle. I only regret that I didn’t get a bite myself.

Hello, gorgeous.
